Glenn Tobias is a Senior Managing Director, Global Co-Leader of FTICA, and Chief Executive Officer of FTI Capital Advisors LLC. Mr. Tobias has more than 25 years of professional experience in investment banking, corporate finance, and consulting. He specializes in M&A, private placements of debt and equity, public capital markets transactions, executive management (CFO and CRO roles), corporate restructuring, project finance, merger integration and corporate strategy across a diverse set of industries.
Prior to Joining FTICA, Mr. Tobias was Managing Director – Head of BNP Paribas’ Energy, Natural Resources and Project Finance Group, where he completed $15 billion of project financings, acquisitions and equity investments.
Mr. Tobias holds FINRA Series 24, 79, Series 82 and Series 63 investment banking licenses and is based in New York. He has a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University.
Fede Membrillera is a Senior Managing Director, Global Co-Leader of FTICA, and Global Co-Leader of the Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT) practice. He has 20 years of experience serving clients globally across all aspects of corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and strategic management consulting through business planning, development and modeling.
Fede joined the TMT strategy consulting and investment banking boutique Delta Partners in 2006, which was integrated with the FTI Consulting TMT practice in 2020. He has helped position the TMT practice as a leading player in corporate finance and has been a lead advisor in restructuring and financing debt projects as well as buy-side deals for large telecom companies with operations in emerging markets. His expertise also includes financial and strategic advisory for several new licenses in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and North and West Africa, providing deal advisory to both entrepreneurial growth companies and Fortune 500 TMT clients.
Fede previously advised telecom operators, global equipment vendors and IT service providers with Oliver Wyman (then DiamondCluster) in Barcelona. He began his career working for Andersen Corporate Finance managing M&A and private equity transactions across Europe.
Fede is a founding member of a TMT focused private equity fund called Nauta Tech Invest which has a presence in Europe and North America.
Fede received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is conversational in French.
Jason Ho is Senior Managing Director, Asia Leader of FTICA and Chief Executive Officer of FTICA (Hong Kong) Limited. Mr. Ho has close to 20 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, private and public capital financing, corporate finance and debt advisory. He specializes in capital financing, private credit, debt restructuring and M&A for both healthy and distressed corporates. He also advises and assists corporates and financial sponsors to fund-raise and provide structured solutions to enable opportunities such as cross-border acquisitions, special situation financing and distressed assets disposal, etc.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Ho was the Regional Head of Primary Bonds for Greater China at Commerzbank AG. He started his corporate advisory and investment banking career with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the United States, and later Citigroup’s corporate finance and capital markets originations departments. In 2011, he joined ICBC International, a wholly-owned investment banking subsidiary of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, to set up an advisory and capital markets segment, where he was the Co-head of Global Debt Capital Markets Department and Head of Debt Syndicate. He then joined a regional bank, as a Managing Director, Head of Debt Financing and Capital Markets.
With a proven track record, Mr. Ho has tailored solutions and raised over US$300 billion via 500+ transactions for corporates in the private and public markets. Given that most of the projects in Asia are for PRC corporates, he has established a solid network with both borrowers and investors in the region.
Mr. Ho received an honor Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Steven M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the United States and was awarded an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from the SABI University in France. Jason is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Dean Mullett is a Senior Managing Director at FTI, and Leader of FTI Capital Advisors in Canada, FTI Consulting’s investment banking subsidiary, which he co-founded in 2017. Mr. Mullett has 20+ years of capital markets experience, specializing in special situation investment banking. His areas of focus include strategic options advisory, operational consulting and change management, mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and balance sheet restructuring. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including automotive, biotech & pharma, cannabis, construction, energy, financials, food, mining, professional services firms, real estate, retail, steel and transportation.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Mullett was a Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, where he launched and led the firm’s Canadian Investment Banking business. Prior to that, Mr. Mullett was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers within the Restructuring and Corporate Finance practices.
Mr. Mullett is a licensed FINRA representative in Series 7, 24 and 63. He also holds certifications as a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Corporate Finance Specialist designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Licensed Trustee in Bankruptcy and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics from the University of Toronto.
Juan Carlos joined FTI Consulting in 2019 as Senior Managing Director to lead FTI Consulting’s Capital Advisors in Iberia. Juan Carlos brings more than 20 years of investment banking experience, primarily with Goldman Sachs in London and Madrid. Within Goldman Sachs he was member of the European Merger Leadership group and responsible for origination and execution of M&A and financing transactions in Iberia, advising private equity funds and corporates in all sectors. He also was responsible for the Renewable Energy sector in EMEA.
Prior to joining FTI, Juan Carlos spent almost 4 years as Partner of Arcano, JV partner of Jefferies for Spain, leading the execution of M&A and financing transactions with Jefferies in Spain. Juan Carlos has executed some of the most relevant M&A and financing transactions in Southern Europe over the last couple of decades, in a wide variety of business sectors, including energy, infrastructure, telecom, media and technology, industrials, real estate, healthcare, financial institutions, internet and retail.
Juan Carlos has a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comilllas (ICAI). He also studied Business Administration at UNED and attended IESE’s Business School, where he studied the Senior Management Program (PADE).
M&A and other FTICA services in Spain rely upon being considered as the ancillary service of “advice to undertakings on capital structure, industrial strategy and related matters and advice and services relating to mergers and the purchase of undertakings” of Article 141.c) of the SMA and consequently, should not be considered as a reserved service subject to authorisation and registration with the CNMV.
Samuel (Sam) Aguirre leads FTI in Brazil. He specializes in corporate finance matters and crisis management in the Americas. Mr. Aguirre has broad restructuring experience in Latin America, focusing on turnaround plans, advising parties on consensual restructurings, liability management exercises, providing interim management services and acting as investment banker in distress transactions.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Aguirre was a Partner in Toronto, Canada at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Corporate Finance. Mr. Aguirre trained in Canada and gained significant experience in bankruptcy proceedings (receiverships, reorganizations, and bankruptcies) before moving to South America.
In the last 25 years, Mr. Aguirre has participated in aggregate debt restructurings in excess of USD 200 billion in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and Chile among other countries. Recent industry expertise includes mining, energy (oil, gas, electricity and renewables) and agri-business.
Mr. Aguirre also has acted as an expert witness in U.S. court. He is a Chartered Accountants/CPA, a licensed Trustee in Bankruptcy and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mr. Aguirre is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Devi Rajani focuses on assisting companies to navigate through the challenging process of fixing their capital structure through debt restructurings and capital raising in Latin America. Devi has more than 15 years of experience working exclusively on large multinational restructuring assignments in Latin America, having restructured more than USD85 billion of debt. Devi brings an unparalleled ability to tackle complex situations given her deep technical expertise, having advised both companies and creditors across a variety of industries, including but not limited to the construction, manufacturing, automotive, hospitality, oil and gas and financial service industries in Mexico, Chile, Brazil and the Caribbean.
Devi’s recent major Latin American-related debt restructurings include Latin America’s largest airline which faced significant challenges following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Devi and her team were instrumental in assisting the Company in filing for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 in the United States and providing ongoing support with the court system.
Devi represented the secured creditors of a Brazilian oil and gas offshore driller following the collapse in oil prices from 2014 to 2017. Devi and her team were essential in analyzing the company’s business plan and providing timely, quality analyses during the negotiations resulting in a successful deal in 2019.
Devi holds a B.Comm. with Honors from Queen’s University. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and was one of the 54 individuals to achieve the highest standing in Canada in the 2005 Uniform Evaluation. She is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (“CIRA”) and received the Certificate of Distinguished Performance Award for achieving an exceptional score on the CIRA examination. Devi is fluent in English and Spanish.
In 2021, Devi was featured in “Women Driving Change,” a Universal Women’s Network book. She also was recognized at Global M&A Network’s 2021 Americas Rising Star Dealmakers Awards and M&A Advisors’ 11th Annual Emerging Leader Awards.
Vicente González specializes in restructurings and transaction advisory. Mr. González has 20 years of experience advising some of the largest Mexican corporations on their restructuring processes. His industry experience includes financial institutions, construction, gaming, automotive, paper products and food.
Mr. González has vast experience in transaction advisory, having advised numerous foreign investors seeking access to the Mexican market. His experience includes all aspects of development and implementation of restructuring plans in an out-of-court setting or through Concurso Mercantil, as well as due diligence, financial modeling, review of business plans, liquidation analysis, valuations, cash management and interim management services.
In regards to his financial institution experience, Mr. González advised the Board of Directors of a financial institution in the investigation of the diversion of funds obtained from the capital markets; the five largest Mexican banks with respect to their exposures at GEO, Homex and Urbi, Mexico’s three largest homebuilders; and the unsecured creditors of the second largest Mexican mortgage company in the restructuring of USD$600 million of debt.
Mr. González’s construction experience includes advising Empresas ICA, one of the largest construction companies in Latin America; Collado, a steel conglomerate in Mexico, regarding its portfolio companies with the objective of maximizing the value of the individual companies, which included the operational review of each company, a review of the business plans and the likely prospects of the companies going forward; and the lenders of GCC, a Mexican cement and ready mix concrete producer with significant operations in the U.S. on the restructuring of its USD$650 million bank and private placement debt.
In regards to the food industry, Mr. González advised the secured creditors of on the largest wholesalers and groceries distributors in Mexico and advised the main lender of a Mexican rice producer in the review of its business plan, where the company was undergoing significant financial issues and needed to restructure USD$120 million of debt.
Mr. González’s paper products experience includes advising the unsecured creditors committee of a paper products manufacturer (kraft, printing and writing) with over USD$150 million of debt and advising Corporación Durango, a Mexican paper company, in the successful restructuring of bonds of USD$540 million.
Additional experience includes advising Grupo Martí, a leading retailer of sporting goods in Mexico, and one of the main players in the premium fitness centers space. He also advised Sanluis Rassini, an auto parts producer, in the restructuring of its bank debt of USD$225 million and advised the parent company with respect to its reorganization. Mr. González is fluent is English and Spanish.
Marc Bilbao is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Leader of the Global Aviation practice. Mr. Bilbao has had significant experience in various out-of-court related restructurings including M&A transactions, debt restructurings, debt for equity swaps, and partnership negotiations. Preceding Mr. Bilbao’s involvement in distressed and troubled situations, he held various positions in Leverage Finance Departments of both domestic and foreign banks.
Prior to working for FTI, Mr. Bilbao worked at Imperial Capital, where he had been Co-Head of the Restructuring Group. Before that, he was a Managing Director in the Los Angeles office of Giuliani Capital Advisors and was a member of Giuliani Capital’s Board of Managers and its Commitment Committee. Prior to joining Giuliani Capital, Mr. Bilbao served as Executive Director in the Debt Restructuring and Workout Group of CIBC World Markets in New York.
Mr. Bilbao holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is based in Los Angeles, CA. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Seattle University.
Colin McCafferty is a Senior Managing Director. Mr. McCafferty has over 20 years of investment banking experience in the Media and Technology industries, providing advisory services to both large corporate clients and middle market growth companies. Mr. McCafferty’s’ specializes in buy side and sell side M&A, private placements of both debt and equity and capital markets transactions. He has advised on more than 80 transactions across the US, Germany, UK, and central Europe totaling over $15bn in Enterprise Value.
Mr. McCafferty previously served as CEO of McCafferty & Company, a boutique advisory firmed based in Los Angeles which he founded. Before that, he served as a Director at Saban Capital Group in Los Angeles where he worked on numerous international transactions. He began his finance career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Banking Division in New York.
Mr. McCafferty holds FINRA series 7, 24, 63 and SIE licenses and is based in Los Angeles, CA. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard University, B.A. from Miami University (OH) and studied abroad at Sophia University in Japan. He has volunteered actively at L.A. Foodbank and has served on several charitable boards in Los Angeles.
Beau Roy specializes in providing financing, M&A and restructuring advisory services to clients in the aviation industry. Mr. Roy began his career over 25 years ago, providing restructuring and strategic advisory services to companies and creditors across a variety of industries.
Mr. Roy’s experience includes business plan development and assessment, debt financing for aircraft and engine acquisitions, sale/leaseback transactions, sourcing public and private equity capital, fleet restructurings, §1110 stipulations, labor contract negotiations, buy- and sell-side advisory mandates, DIP and exit financing, §363 sale processes, valuation, exchange offers, and litigation support. Mr. Roy has been called to testify in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on a variety of topics.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Roy worked in Imperial Capital’s Corporate Finance practice, where he focused heavily on aviation and included advisory roles at Pinnacle Airlines, Republic Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Global Aviation, Aloha Airlines, and Virgin America. Advisory assignments for Official Committees of Unsecured Creditors included members from United, Delta, American, ALPA, Teamsters, lessors, maintenance providers and trade vendors.
Jamie Belcher is a member of FTI Capital Advisors in Canada, FTI’s investment banking subsidiary. Mr. Belcher has over 20 years of experience in transaction advisory, corporate finance and accounting and he has been involved in a wide range of corporate finance and restructuring mandates and special situations transactions. His experience includes acquisitions, divestitures, financings, refinancing and restructurings.
Prior to joining FTI Capital Advisors, Mr. Belcher was a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal in Toronto. Mr. Belcher’s experience also includes over four years at BlackBerry, formerly RIM, as a Director in the Corporate Development group. While at BlackBerry, he led seven acquisitions, as well as numerous other technology licensing and commercial transactions
Mr. Belcher holds certifications as a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Professional Accountant and Exempt Market Dealer. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University.
Dalius is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Capital Advisors, where he works on M&A and Corporate Finance engagements. He has over 18 years of experience, working in M&A, Investment Banking and management consulting, and 10+ years focus on technology and telecom engagements in Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Prior to joining FTI, Dalius was the head of Investor Support Middle East for Roland Berger, as well as with Corporate Finance and Transactions team of PwC in Moscow.
Dalius holds an MBA from INSEAD (Singapore/Fontainebleau), he is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (UK) and a Member of National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (US).
Dalius speaks English, Russian and Lithuanian.
Shane Campbell is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Capital Advisors, LLC, FTI’s investment banking practice. Mr. Campbell has over 15 years of experience in a diverse set of industries including energy, oil and gas, power and clean tech, environmental services, aerospace and defense, industrial and specialty manufacturing, cannabis, retail and retail software and technology. He specializes in special situation transactions, 363 bankruptcies, mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”), private placements, capital raises, management buyouts and debt recapitalizations.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Campbell was a Partner and Managing Director at Cronus Investment Banking. Before that, he worked as an investment banker at Royal Bank of Scotland.
Mr. Campbell holds a FINRA Series 7 certification and is based in New York. He holds an M.B.A. from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in economics from Princeton University. At Princeton, he was a member of the Division I Men’s Ice Hockey program. Mr. Campbell is a former professional hockey player.
David Fowkes is a member of FTI Capital Advisors (“FTICA”), FTI Consulting’s investment banking subsidiary. Mr. Fowkes has more than 25 years of experience in the aviation, aerospace and advanced air mobility (“AAM”) industries, having helped clients execute assignments in 30 countries across six continents.
David focuses on investment banking assignments for clients across the aviation, aerospace and advanced air mobility spectrum, providing capital raising, M&A and restructuring services for clients including airlines (passenger, regional, cargo), maintenance organizations (MRO, parts and engine repair), private aviation clients (charter, fractional and FBO), leasing companies, training organizations (pilots and mechanics), helicopter operators and aviation and aerospace-related private equity investors.
Mr. Fowkes has recently added a focus on new technology advanced air mobility clients including electric vertical take-off and landing (“eVTOL”), drone and other new aviation technology passenger, cargo and services businesses.
Prior to joining FTICA, David was a managing director and Co-Head of Aviation, Aerospace and Advanced Air Mobility Banking at Raymond James. Prior to that, he was a managing director at Imperial Capital and has held senior roles at Seabury group, Salomon Brothers, Citibank, Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank, and ran M&A and integration for global helicopter operator Bristow Group.
Scott Gibson specializes in restructuring and business transformation advisory, focusing on the airlines and aviation industry. He has over 35 years of senior-level airline strategy, restructuring, revenue improvement consulting and management expertise. Mr. Gibson brings 20 years of experience as an advisor to aviation industry C-suites and was responsible for developing and managing consulting practices in three firms.
Mr. Gibson is known for his ingenuity in addressing business challenges, adapting business to changed environments, and developing as well as implementing workable solutions and strategies with a focus on restructuring, business strategy and planning, and profitability improvement (both cost and revenue, with a focus on network and fleet).
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Gibson spent a decade as Managing Director and Head of Management Consulting at SkyWorks Capital LLC, where he was responsible for the management and development of the global consulting and restructuring business.
John A. Hudson is a Senior Managing Director of FTI Capital Advisors, LLC, FTI Consulting’s investment banking practice. Mr. Hudson has over 20 years of experience completing sell-side/buy-side transactions and raising capital involving technology and intellectual property (IP) assets and IP-rich companies, valuing intangible assets, technology licensing, and providing IP strategic management and related risk mitigation advisory services. He has performed engagements across various industries and sectors including food & beverage, agriculture, technology, media, telecom, health care, energy, consumer, aerospace and defense, and industrials, and for clients that include Fortune 500 companies, universities, private companies, governmental agencies, PE and VC firms and funds, and inventors, throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Hudson was Managing Director in Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC, which sits inside of Deloitte Advisory, where he led the Tech and IP practice and was also the US lead for Deloitte’s Global IP Advisory practice.
Mr. Hudson holds FINRA series 79 and 63 certifications and is based in Atlanta, GA. He has been recognized by his peer group as one of the IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists every year since 2012. Mr. Hudson holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Florida.
Ben Hughes leads the firms Special Situations M&A offering in the UK. Having started his career in restructuring, Ben moved into M&A in 2010 where he gained significant mainstream and special situations M&A experience from working on a number of lead sell-side and buy-side advisory mandates, capital raisings, strategic option reviews and valuations.
In his 17 years of acting as a lead advisor, Ben has worked with a broad range of clients including corporates, lenders and investors, across a variety of sectors such as Retail, Leisure, Healthcare TMT and Industrials.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ben worked in Deloitte’s Corporate Finance team, with a focus on Special Situations M&A, before that, he worked at AlixPartners.
Ben is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Christopher LeWand is a Senior Managing Director and Global Leader of the Energy, Power & Renewables practice. Mr. LeWand is an expert providing strategic market entry, M&A advisory, financial planning, business optimization services, fulfilling interim management roles (CEO/CRO/CFO), and assisting with troubled company financial and operational restructurings. Mr. LeWand has led many cases for utilities, conventional and renewable power fuel sources as well as enabling technologies.
Mr. LeWand has served as financial advisor on all aspects of M&A transactions, including, buy / sell mandates and capital raises; accounting, financial and operational due diligence; identification of acquisition targets; analysis of financial and operational synergies in potential mergers and preparation and negotiation of bids and acquisition agreements on both distressed and healthy investments. Merger integration and carve-out advisory work has been performed on major business combinations/divestitures and the roles have included running PMOs, leading the development and implementation of functional team plans, business reorganization, profit improvement, financial management planning, product road-mapping and customer segmentation, and sitting as a member of Executive Steering Committees.
Todd Mello is a recognized thought leader in the healthcare valuation industry, with three decades of healthcare transactions and valuation experience. His valuation work for clients is enhanced by more than ten years of experience within the managed care, physician practice management, and investment banking fields. His approach to valuation includes developing sound, defensible opinions, while structuring arrangements that are in accordance with clients’ operational and strategic objectives.
Prior to joining FTI as the Health Solutions Valuation Services group leader, he co-founded a national boutique healthcare valuation firm, which he managed and grew from inception through its first 17 years of explosive growth. During this period, Mr. Mello led the firm’s business valuation practice, served as an expert witness, and managed fair market value (FMV) opinions on thousands of compensation arrangements in addition to serving as a partner and board member.
Mr. Mello received an B.A. in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A. from Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.
Christopher Nicholls is a Senior Managing Director. He is also a founding member of FTI Capital Advisors, the firm’s wholly owned investment banking subsidiary. Mr. Nicholls has over 30 years of experience in restructuring, M&A, interim management, business turnaround, business plan development, litigation support and valuation.
Since joining FTI Consulting in 2005, Mr. Nicholls has led some of the firm’s largest and most complex engagements. Mr. Nicholls has assessed the current operations and business strategies of companies in telecom. equipment, software, radio, publishing,, digital media and entertainment. Some of the companies that Mr. Nicholls has worked with include Sungard, TPx, Intelsat, Interface Security, Frontier, Windstream, LSC Communications, Avaya, Interface Security, iHeart, Cumulus Media, Frontpoint Security, Spanish Broadcasting, Cenveo, Cengage, Tribune Media, Digital First, MediaNews, Reader’s Digest, Source Interlink, SFX Entertainment, McLeod, One Communications, Broadview, XO, Sage Telecom, Allegiance Telecom and Level 3.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Nicholls spent nine years in GE Capital’s Structured Finance and Corporate Lending groups, where he helped to substantially grow investments under management and was ultimately head of the telecom risk management team. In this role, he was responsible for evaluating credit risk, pricing and underwriting loans, portfolio management and performing quarterly portfolio reviews and valuations.
Yana is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Capital Advisors, where she works on M&A and Corporate Finance engagements. She has over 12 years of corporate finance experience focused on TMT in emerging markets.
Previous experience at Goldman Sachs’ Alternative Investments team, London.
Yana holds an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University, Italy, an MSc (Hons) in Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management, The Netherlands and a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from Bocconi University, Italy.
Yana is a Bulgarian national and is fluent in English and Bulgarian and conversational in Italian.
Luciano Lindemann is a Senior Managing Director in the Turnaround & Restructuring practice. He has experience serving in interim management roles for companies undergoing turnaround processes. Mr. Lindemann has industry experience in healthcare, consumer goods and education. Mr. Lindemann has served as interim Chief Restructuring Officer and interim Chief Financial Officer, and has assisted companies with debt restructuring, fundraising, performance improvement, cost reduction and merger and acquisition advisory.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Lindemann worked at Votorantim Cimentos, the world’s fifth largest cement producer, where he served on the Financial Risk Management team. In this role, he prepared the company for an IPO, including the creation of corporate governances, financial and accounting structuring and SOX certification. Prior to Votorantim, Mr. Lindemann served as a Financial Controller at Unilever. Before that, he worked in the sales planning department at Citibank.
Mr. Lindemann holds a B.B.A. from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil and an M.B.A. in finance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil. He also holds an extension in risk management in banking and finance from City University London.
Chris Post is a Senior Managing Director. Mr. Post focuses on advising companies, creditors and equity sponsors during periods of transformative change. He brings more than 15 years of capital markets expertise across a number of industry sectors including telecom, media & entertainment, business services, manufacturing and power & utilities.
Mr. Post has led numerous engagements covering buy- and sell-side M&A, capital raising, interim management, balance sheet and operational restructuring, business plan development & review and valuation.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Post spent over seven years in the corporate and investment banking division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. During that time he participated in the origination and syndication of over 50 high grade and leveraged debt transactions in the telecom, media and technology (“TMT“) sector, with principal responsibilities including due diligence, transaction structuring, credit underwriting and portfolio management.
Justin Pugh is a member of Corporate Finance & Restructuring and FTI Capital Advisors, the firm’s investment banking subsidiary. Mr. Pugh specializes in providing strategic, operational and financial solutions to enterprises and their related stakeholders and his engagements have spanned a variety of industries, including creditors, debtors, shareholders, boards of directors and prospective purchasers. Mr. Pugh has more than 10 years of experience.
During the course of his assignments, Mr. Pugh has prepared and conducted extensive reviews of business plans and financial projections, assisted in refinancing efforts, provided mergers and acquisitions advisory services, investigated a variety of financial improprieties, served as interim management, acted as a liquidating agent and trustee, been appointed by district courts as a receiver, provided due diligence services to lenders and prospective purchasers, and proposed and implemented performance improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Pugh was an Associate at Alliance Management, a boutique turnaround management and restructuring consultancy. In this capacity, he served as a court-appointed receiver on multiple occasions, the financial advisor to several companies in bankruptcy and an expert witness on valuation matters. Before Alliance, Mr. Pugh held roles of increasing responsibility in the corporate finance, FP&A, and supply chain functions, respectively, of three Fortune 500 companies where he focused primarily on ecommerce and digital strategy.
Rod Rivera is a member of FTI Capital Advisors, FTI Consulting’s investment banking subsidiary. Mr. Rivera brings more than 30 years of experience completing over a hundred transactions in healthcare investment banking, corporate banking and leveraged finance, representing more than $12 billion in deal value.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rivera has raised billions of dollars in debt and equity for public and private companies and has focused his interests on healthcare services and pharmaceuticals. He has profound industry expertise and has been a trusted advisor providing financing and M&A solutions to companies such as Mariner Health, Sun Healthcare, Lifehouse Senior Living, Trilogy Health, King Pharmaceuticals, Warner Chilcott, Prometheus Pharma and Amneal Pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Rivera joined FTI Consulting from Capstone Partners’ Healthcare Group, where he was a Managing Director. Before that, he founded and led the healthcare banking effort at RBS Citizens, building a portfolio of over $1.5 billion of middle market and corporate senior loans. Prior to RBS Citizens, Mr. Rivera led the healthcare investment banking effort as a Senior Managing Director at Dresner Partners, a middle market M&A boutique. He also co-headed the investment banking effort for Healthcare Services at Jefferies. During his career, he served as Managing Director in leveraged finance and healthcare investment banking groups at Credit Suisse First Boston and CIBC.
Additionally, Mr. Rivera is a Member of the Advisory Council for the Institute for Life Sciences Collaboration and served as an Advisory Board member for First Physicians Capital Group, where he provided strategic, corporate finance and capital markets expertise.
After graduating from the Naval Academy, Mr. Rivera served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer and Mission Commander for the P-3 aircraft.
Luke Schaeffer is a Senior Managing Director and Global Co-Leader of the Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT) practice. Mr. Schaeffer specializes in enterprise transformation, in transactions, turnarounds and growth contexts. Services include strategy, revenue growth, operating model design, organizational design, cost take-out, process improvement, interim management, financial and operational restructuring, commercial and operational diligence, integration and separation planning and M&A and capital raising.
Mr. Schaeffer has recently served as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) of disruptive augmented reality hardware company, Deputy CRO of Relativity Media, Interim Chief Operating Officer of an event rental business, Chief Restructuring Officer in an out-of-court operational restructuring of an entertainment post-production business, and Interim Vice President of Development for Digital Domain during its bankruptcy with responsibility for leading that 363 sale process.

Carlyn Taylor serves as the Global Co-Leader of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, where she leads the Business Transformation and Transactions practices globally. Ms. Taylor also serves as FTI Consulting’s Chief Growth Officer, responsible for the firm’s growth initiatives, which include the coordination of its Artificial Intelligence strategy, its cross-segment Technology-related strategies and its Private Equity practice. Ms. Taylor is also a member of FTI Consulting’s global Executive Committee and is Chairperson of FTI Capital Advisors, the firm’s investment banking subsidiary.
Ms. Taylor has more than 30 years of experience leading engagements involving strategy, business transformation and transaction-related services. Ben Waters is a specialist in advisory, investment and transaction support, capital, banking services, pre-lending review and due diligence within the agribusiness industry. Ben joined FTI Consulting after 14 years with one of Australia’s leading corporate restructuring and advisory firms where he gained in-depth experience and insight across a wide range of advisory projects. During that time, Ben spent 15 months working in one of Australia’s largest banks specifically assisting with managing their agribusiness portfolio.
Ben has led trade-on engagements, asset sales and independent advisory projects within the beef (including stud stock and feed lotting), dairy, horticulture, cotton, irrigated cropping and fodder and broad-acre cropping sectors. Furthermore, he has experience in processing and accumulation of agricultural products as well as the production of key farm inputs.

Jose Vargas specializes in turnaround and restructuring advisory. Mr. Vargas’ industry experience includes movie theater exhibitors, retail apparel companies, pharmaceutical companies, fruit production, steel distribution, aluminum recycling, offshore services suppliers to oil producers, infrastructure, government, airport and airlines.
Mr. Vargas has participated in several restructurings and financial due diligence engagements involving building complex financial models, as well as government bidding processes and business plan feasibility analyses.

Alex began his career with Citigroup in New York and has focused on M&A originations, executions and merger arbitrage situations across the Asia Pacific region in various institutions, namely Goldman Sachs, Lazard and JPMorgan. At JPMorgan, he was Head of Hong Kong and Taiwan Investment Banking in Financial Institutions, executing numerous landmark M&A and capital market transactions in Greater China, and led the establishment of the Private Client Advisory group offering best-in-class corporate finance advisory services to ultra high-net-worth private banking clients.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Alex was Managing Partner at Oasis Advisory Limited, a boutique consultancy firm he founded that specialises in advising disruptive startups on fundraising strategies and business development. Before that, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at TNG FinTech Group, leading its strategic acquisitions in Southeast Asia, capital markets and fundraising activities, as well as coordinating communications with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”).
